Learn the concepts. Practice the decisions.
Study progress stays in this browser. :Moving your progress?
:x Study Evidence
A remembered answer and a first answer to an unfamiliar problem are different observations.
- First responseTry an unfamiliar question before seeing feedback.
- RepairUse feedback to explain why your first answer missed.
- Later retrievalReturn on another day and try a different application.
For example, correcting a response immediately shows repair. It does not erase the original response or turn it into a new first attempt.
Coverage counts objectives encountered. It is not a prediction of your exam result.
:Why try to recall before revealing?
:x Recall Loop
Try before reveal makes the gap between your answer and the essentials visible.
- RecallSay or write your answer without the solution.
- CompareFind the missing distinction, not just familiar words.
- ReturnUse the app’s local schedule or your external scheduler.
A flashcard rating is your self-report. It never becomes a correct practice response. The local schedule is a transparent heuristic, not a validated mastery model.
:x Move Progress
Study history belongs to the browser profile and site address where you created it.
- Old addressOpen Settings and export your JSON backup.
- New addressImport that file and inspect the preview.
- ConfirmReplace the destination history only when you are ready.
Nothing transfers automatically. Keep the original backup until you have checked your notes, history, and settings at the new address.
Backups contain readable study history and saved notes. Progress backups exclude all unsaved drafts. Save notes and reflections before exporting, or download a separate readable draft recovery copy for manual copying. Review pending-draft warnings before import or reset. Keep both files private.
:x Mock Scope
This is an independent practice exercise, using original questions reserved from ordinary practice.
Two timed halves. Answers are reviewed after completion.
Correct responses divided by questions. No conversion to IAPP scaled points.
The domain allocation is this app’s normalization of the blueprint ranges, not an official prediction of your exam’s question mix or result.

:x Accountable Decision
A team proposes keeping support recordings indefinitely. Separate the decisions before choosing a control.
Legal and privacy specialists identify the applicable obligations and risks.
Product and engineering choose and test a retention rule. The accountable business owner decides how to handle remaining risk through governance.
Name the decision owner, the evidence they need, and the person who verifies the result. A working access restriction alone does not justify indefinite retention.
:Which evidence does the owner need?
:x Decision Evidence
What purpose needs the recordings? Would a shorter period or a less detailed record meet that need?
Who could be affected by a retained copy, what controls were tested, and which risk remains for the accountable owner to consider?
Recording a decision makes responsibility traceable. It does not make an otherwise unjustified activity acceptable.
:x Choice Propagation
A person turns off optional analytics. Trace the choice through the interface, collection service and downstream recipient.
- Check scopeWhich processing does this choice cover, and what applicable ground supports it?
- PropagateCarry the preference to each affected system, including queued work.
- VerifyTest a later request and a recipient update. A changed toggle is not enough.
Consent is not the only possible ground for processing. The obligation and effect of withdrawal depend on the activity and applicable law; use this lesson’s sources.
:x Pet Boundary
Start with who can observe what, then choose a mechanism.
Secure multiparty computation can protect private inputs during a defined computation, under stated trust assumptions. The output may still reveal information.
Differential privacy bounds a release’s dependence on one protected unit through a defined mechanism and accounting. It does not secure the input database.
Pseudonymization retains a possible link through additional information. For each choice, name the remaining exposure; do not substitute a PET’s name for a threat model.
:x Communication Copies
End-to-end encryption addresses a particular message boundary. It does not answer every communication privacy question.
- EnvelopeWho can see participants, timing, routing and device information?
- EndpointsWho can read, screenshot, record or forward the content?
- Other copiesWhere do transcripts, backups and derived summaries remain, and who can access them?
Draw these flows before accepting the vendor’s encryption claim as sufficient for your use case.
:x Principle To Control
Translate a principle into a default, an owner and a check.
Optional sharing starts off. A new account test checks the setting and the actual outgoing request.
A retention decision covers active records, recipient copies and retirement. A test checks what remains after the retention period.
These are examples of implementation evidence, not proof that every principle or legal obligation has been satisfied.
:x Release Evidence
Carry one privacy requirement through the full release lifecycle.
- Plan and designState the purpose and retention requirement; map the affected data copies.
- Build and testImplement the rule and test expiry, exceptions and failures.
- Operate and retireMonitor failures, approve accountable exceptions, and verify the final disposition of retained copies.
Ask which artifact connects each stage to the original requirement. A design review alone cannot demonstrate that the operational rule keeps working.
:x Illustrative Models
Each lab isolates a relationship so you can change a choice and inspect the consequence.
A particular data flow, grouping, permission decision, or mathematical relationship.
Real-world anonymity, an organization’s breach probability, or legal compliance.
Read the assumptions beside the controls. Use the lesson’s named sources to connect the simplified model to the underlying concept.
